Toyin Sanni : Leading Africa’s Financial Revolution

Toyin Sanni is a visionary leader and prominent figure in the world of finance, renowned for her unwavering commitment to driving economic growth and empowerment across Africa. As the Founder and CEO of the Emerging Africa Group, Toyin has established herself as a trailblazer in the financial services sector, with investments spanning investment banking, financial technology, venture capital, and microfinance banking.

With a background in securities law and extensive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and asset management, Toyin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She is dedicated to leveraging her networks across markets and her extensive experience working on leading transactions to achieve growth objectives and provide advisory and capital-raising solutions that drive sustainable economic growth across the continent.

One of Toyin’s core passions lies in grooming future leaders and empowering individuals and businesses through capacity-building initiatives. Her highly-rated Executive Mentorship program has been instrumental in nurturing talent and fostering leadership development, paving the way for the next generation of African leaders to thrive in the world of finance and beyond.

As a prominent investment banker, public personality, speaker, and influencer, Toyin is committed to addressing the financing and investing challenges faced by African governments, businesses, and individuals. In addition to her role at the Emerging Africa Group, Toyin sits on several boards and committees, including Transnational Corporation Plc and the Off-Grid Energy Fund – Financing Energy Inclusion (OGEF-FEI) sponsored by the AfDB. She also chairs the Technical Committee on Financial Literacy of the Nigerian Capital Market and serves as Ambassador/Co-chair for the Africa CEO Forum Network for Nigeria.

Furthermore, Toyin is the Founder and Chairperson of the Women in Finance Nigeria Network and Founder of WIFNG UK, demonstrating her commitment to advancing gender equality and empowering women in the finance industry both domestically and internationally.

Toyin’s outstanding contributions to the finance industry have been recognized with numerous accolades and awards, including being declared the All African Business Woman of the Year 2017 by CNBC Africa and Nigeria’s CEO of the Year 2017 by Pearl Awards. In 2020, she was honored with the Africa Influencer (CEO) Award by Tech Times Africa.

Beyond her professional achievements, Toyin is also an accomplished author, with three published books to her name, including “Riding The Eagle – A Guide to Investing in Nigeria.” She has also served in various leadership roles, including President of the Association of Investment Advisers (CIIA), President of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers (IAPM), and President of the Association of Corporate Trustees.
